When God Answered

And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God.

Mark 11:22

Are you homeless?

When you hear the word homeless, what do you think of? Do you think of people sleeping in the streets? Or maybe you see a person pushing a shopping cart, filled with empty cans and garbage bags. In either event, you might be correct. However, in the search for self discovery when I talk about the word homeless, I am talking about our eternal home. I am talking about what happens to our soul after it leaves our body. Do you know? Do you care? Well you should.

Because of my personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ, I know I will be spending my eternity with them. I know that when my soul leaves my body, I will spend the rest of eternity working hand in hand with with our Heavenly Father. Can you say the samething? If not, that's okay. You still have time to start building that personal relationship and today is your day.

A personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ, will ensure that your soul ends up where it needs to be, in Heaven. But what are you doing to make sure this happens? Judgment day is coming and it is important that you start to build that relationship now. God wants to have a relationship with you. He was willing to sacrifice His one and only Son to ensure your place in His kingdom. What are you willing to do to ensure your place?

It's not too late

Sometimes life has a tendency to overwhelm us. We feel lost and alone, like there is no place to turn to. The good thing is, there is a place. Jesus Christ is waiting to hear from you. He wants you to place all of your burdens upon Him. Accept Him into your heart and know that He will always be there for you. Even when you feel that you are at your lowest point, He is there. Today is the day to start your personal relationship with Him. Stop living in despair and start living the life He died to give you. Jesus loves you unconditionally. Not just today, but forever. Talk to Him, He's waiting...

What can happen when you build that relationship?

Here is just one example of what can happen when you build that personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ.

I had sent my book to the publisher and as all new writers do, I was hoping they would publish it. One day I was in the shower and I thought to myself "Hey this is  a good place for me to talk with God" and so I did. I asked God about my life. I asked Him when my life might change. I then heard a voice inside of me saying "Rick, your life is going to change for the better very soon. It might not be today or tomorrow, but trust me, it is going to happen. I can not tell you your future, because you have not lived it yet, but I can tell you that your life is going to change for the better. You may walk out to the mailbox today and find something in it or you might meet someone on the street, but know this, your life will be changing".  With that I felt much better. I turned off the shower and I stepped out to dry myself off. Just as I stepped out of the tub, my phone rang. I hurried to dry off and ran to answer it. On the other end  of the phone was the publisher congratulating me. They were letting me know that they wanted to publish my book. When I hung up the phone, I was in shock. I just looked up and said thank-you.

I believe if I had not started to build my personal relationship with God and His Son, this may never have happened. Some people tell me that  the publisher was going to publish my book anyway. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't, I can't say for sure. But what I do know for sure is that God told me my life was going to change in the near future and the moment I stepped out of shower it did. Coincedence? I don't think so. The power of God...Definitely!!! This is just oneof the amazing things that have started to happen in my life since building my relationship, what about you? Are you going to hope for coincidences? I hope not. I pray that you will do what millions of others have done and put your faith in God. With Him all things are possible.
